Why hello there!
Lately things have been a little rough. Well, that’s an understatement. Things have been very rough for me. But God bless rough times because they’re simply learning experiences!
Some things I’ve learned?
- Don’t stress the small things. I know. You hear it all the time. But I mean it. There are things that stressing over is okay, and then there are things that we can’t control. Those are the things that we need to let go. We as a society desire power and control. But life has other plans. Sometimes it helps to relax and know that no matter what, everything will happen as it should.
- Don’t give up. I’ll be the first to say it: I am a class-A quitter. I am great at quitting. If I’m done with something, that’s it. I’m done. However that’s a terrible mentality to have. You will never learn anything if you’re constantly quitting. The best knowledge comes from experience and the only way you can experience things is if you’re willing to become uncomfortable. Step out of that bubble and live life. And when things get tough, keep pushing through. Remind yourself that it’s all for a reason and a couple of bumps and bruises shouldn’t hold you back from your goals.
- SAVE YOUR MONEY. This one I can’t stress enough. Do not blow your money on foolish things! This is so much easier said than done. Getting a paycheck and putting half away is easy. Leaving that half put away, however, is a whole different story. When you receive money, try to budget beforehand. Once all of your money is spent on those things, there is no more for you to use. If that means this month you only have $20 on fast food, then that’s it. Go buy groceries. Buy in bulk. But do not dip into your savings. You never know when you’ll really need the money for an emergency.
There are many lessons in life to learn. Thankfully we go through the things we go through for a reason. Remember that: it’s all for a reason.
